For gun deaths, the "Red" states are the deadliest.
Gun Deaths per 100,000 Population
Alaska 20.4
Louisiana 19.2
Alabama 16.2
Mississippi 16.1
Wyoming 15.6
Montana 15.4
New Mexico* 14.9
Arizona 14.6
Nevada* 14.5
Arkansas 14.4
The leading states, in terms of gun deaths per 100,000 residents,
except for New Mexico and Nevada, were carried by the Republicans in the
2012 presidential race. All the rest of the states in the top 20 were
carried by the Republican candidate.

Just a quick fact or two to put this in perspective, the gun murder
rate in Alaska is 2.7 per 100,000. Arizona is 3.6, Montana is 1.2,
Wyoming is 0.9
It is 5.7 in Maryland, DC is 16.5 ... with all of those laws.
Vermont is the lowest in the country with virtually no gun laws.
Cherry picking numbers from a larger statistic base is a dangerous
thing.
If you want me to look at those "deep south" states, I would end up
being called a racist. (just like I would if I looked into those inner
city deaths)
I still remember the fact that Baltimore still has 304 unsolved
murders last year. (out of 355)
Gun deaths are gun deaths are gun deaths.
Owls are owls are owls.
How are they?
