Ah...the trusty wooden yard stick...you just don't see them up here anymore.
I do have a metal, meter long ruler though.
So far we only have an inch or two of snow....just a light dusting.
I got a kick off CNN coverage from Virginia last night. All I saw was half of 3/4 ton pickups plowing the streets. We use those for driveways or smaller parking lots.
I was just outside, unburying the car I left in the driveway. It's

I thought it was less than 100 ft from the corner of his house to the
corner of his driveway. Maybe my measurements are off.
I thought he told us it was a quarter mile before the overhead view became available.
Ditto with his Maryland Red Barn.
