pipes? We knew lead pipe was bad when I was a kid. They also knew
about acid rain and the effect of low pH water on lead.
My water here, pretty much does not touch any kind of metal until it

Perhaps the Snyder administration thought it would be easier, more
efficient and cheaper to poison and kill mass numbers of blacks rather
than have the police do it one at a time.

They are doing everything in their power to lay the blame on the Republican governor.

APRIL 2014: In an effort to save money, Flint begins drawing its water from the Flint
River instead of relying on water from Detroit.

JANUARY 2015: ...Flint insists its water is safe.

FEB. 3: State officials pledge $2 million for Flint's troubled water system.

MARCH 19: Flint promises to spend $2.24 million on immediate improvements to its
water supply.

MARCH 27: Flint officials say the quality of its water has improved and that testing
finds the water meets all state and federal standards for safety.

SEPT. 24: A group of doctors led by Dr. Mona Hanna-Attisha of Hurley Medical Center
urges Flint to stop using the Flint River for water after finding high levels of lead
in the blood of children....

Sounds like Flint brought on its own problems.

Flint seems to have problems in other areas also. Wonder if those are also the fault
of the Republican governor...or could it be the mayor?

This problem is actually 100 years old and they have ignored it for at
least 50 of them when lead water pipes were identified as being
dangerous, particularly with low pH water from "acid rain".
Lead was such a problem that it was banned in paint in the 60s and
they started moving away from lead solder in copper piping. I was
already using lead free solder in 1976 when I put on my addition. That
is an indefinitely small exposure when compared to the entire pipe
being lead.
Flint and all of Michigan was rolling in money at that time and they
could have afforded to replace the pipes.


Perhaps they opted to have more lead in their pencils instead of dealing
with a serious issue.
