the coverage map isn't great.

It looks like this uses the Sprint network but you are supposed to do
most of your calling via WiFi.
I am tagged on my wife's plan with no data and I don't use 50 minutes
a year so it is pretty cheap. Most of them are Verison to Verison so
they don't count anyway.

I use about 300 minutes a month for "voice calls" on my cell, and I
have four others on my cell account for whom I pay. Verizon's coverage
seems pretty decent in most places.
