The "trail" is a raised wooden walk way - interesting place to visit.

Keep walking. The loop is 12 miles. You only went a few thousand feet
after the walk in from the parking lot. (not a bad walk in itself)
The picture I posted is about a half mile from the end of the
boardwalk. The scenery is about like that everywhere but the plants
and animals change. I was looking for the right light.

We went way more than a few thousand feet. probably a couple of miles
total but no where near 12 miles.
