Hockey has gotten a lot better on large screen HD TVs but it's still
one of those games best watched in person.

More fun live perhaps, but the action is so fast and furious, the camera
does a better job of keeping its "eye" on the puck than I could do.

That's true but much of the strategy and excitement takes place away
from the puck and television misses just about all of that. Based on
my experience the best venue for watching hockey is a relatively small
riink where you are close to the action.



That's probably true. Baseball is also slow and boring to me on TV but
I will try to catch a game at any new venue I can in person. I missed
out on Fenway when I was in Boston. I looked at Stub Hub but the
tickets were too far away and they had to be picked up in person at the
time. That's the only "iconic" baseball venue I have missed.
