Hi All,

A friend and I are hoping to canoe the Chattahoochee soon, putting in
by the dam at Lake Lanier. We are both intermediate canoers. Do you
know how far a canoe can travel downstream, before hitting a major
obstacle, like another dam, or some advanced parts of the river?

I've been looking for maps or guides online and haven't found much
yet. We're looking to do a 1/2-day trip or more, and would probably
leave a car at the take-out location.
