Our early settlers were the cream of the crop. Y'all got the
ungrateful motley crew that couldn't wait to bite the hand that fed and protected y'all.
We had a problem with paying taxes and not getting that much in
return. Some here still do.
The funniest comment, of course, came from your buddy, FlaJim, who
apparently confused the English settlement of Canada with Australia's
early history as an English penal colony.
Yeah, public school, what do you expect ;-)
And why did England establish penal colonies halfway around the world?
Because the American Revolution stopped them from dumping their criminals
in America and Canada.
