Default Transiting the Panama Canal

We begin tomorrow (Saturday) at 5:00AM on the tallest, tall ship in
the world. By late afternoon we should have cleared all the locks and
will be approaching Balboa on the Pacific (south) end of the canal.
Look for us on the canal webcams throughout the day.

Our mainmast is 199 feet above the water, one foot short of the Pan
American Bridge at dead low tide. We have a 35 minute window in which
we have permission to cross under the bridge. If we're late we'll
have to anchor until low tide Sunday morning before we can try again.

We spent today in the beautiful San Blas Islands of Panama's Caribbean
coast.
