No, it isn't hard to come up with reasons. If it were, there wouldn't be
so many trying to get the job. I don't think "making a living" is the
motivator for most federal elected officials.


It would be nice to think that some are motivated for altruistic reasons
but I don't think that's the case.


It is simply a quest for power.
