The big Guzzis are also designed for cruising and comfort, but will handle the
twisties with ease. I've put in many 800-900 mile days on mine, and lived to tell
about it.

Was Ben Carson riding along with you?

No, but my wife has - when she wasn't on her own bike.

Did you two stop by the pyramids to check the grain supply?

No, we never got to Africa. Did most of Europe though.

And you? What rides have you done on that Ducati? I'm sure you've gotten in your
share of long days in the saddle with that thing. Right?

I haven't taken what would be considered a *long* motorcycle ride since
the 1960s, when I drove my Honda from Milford, Connecticut, to Kansas,
around 1250 miles if memory serves, but I took five or six days to do
it, because I was taking a bunch of short side trips off the main route.
It was a "fun" ride for me. The longest rides I've taken in recent years
were under 250 miles. Spending all day on a motorcycle has no more
appeal to me than spending the night in a towable motel room after
driving all day in a pick-me-up truck towing it.

So what 249 mile rides have you done on that Ducati?
--

I didn't say they were 249 mile rides, I said they were under 250 miles.

I've ridden to Virginia Beach, Dover, Ocean City, Purcellville, and a
few other places. I prefer state highways, whenever possible, to the big
interstates. Lower speeds, usually less traffic, fewer big trucks, et
cetera.

On the Ducati? Or in the 4Runner?

The 4Runner is moving on after 225,000 mostly carefree miles. For the
last year, I've only been using it "locally" to pick up bags of mulch,
or to take trashbags up to the dump. It's still in good shape,
considering its age and mileage, and we're donating it to a good cause.

You've ridden the Ducati to Virginia Beach, Dover, etc?

"Ridden" typically does not apply to cars.

I've "ridden" my 4Runner to Virginia Beach? Naw, I wouldn't say or write
that.

Have you "ridden" your *Ducati* to Virginia Beach, Dover, etc?

Asked three times now, and answered. Move on, moron.

No, you've bypassed and tap danced, but never answered the question. It's OK to lie about it. Someone here will believe you.

Yawn.

Damn, outed again.
