I mostly shoot standing up or from a bench, Tim. I prefer shooting
offhand and sometimes sitting down at a bench with the firearm on a
rest. I don't have a reason to plop down on the group and shoot.
Life's a bit different when you might get shot at. But, the lack of knowledge
exhibited by you and donne' is understandable.

Ban idiots, not guns!
Did he really post "plop down on the group" or did you edit that?! Was
he referring to this group?
I didn't edit it. I think he's referring to using a pencil to put bullet holes in a
target, thus 'plopping down a group'. But, who knows what liars really mean?
I just received an invoice to renew my membership at the gun club (range)
that I've gone to over the years. I decided not to bother
renewing again. I don't get a lot of enjoyment out of shooting holes
in paper targets anymore. The trill is gone. :-)
I renewed my license at a 100 yard outdoor range not too far away. $20.00
for a year. For messier shooting we head out to the Shenandoah site.
Everyone has firearms the others don't have, so trying out different guns
is fun.
You'll get over it, as did Luddite.
