As much as I want to try this river (Barron River in Algonquin Park) I
am a little concerned about portaging a sea kayak -Nautaraid Raid II-
as some of the portages are 400 meters and this kayak weighs about 70
lbs and is not exactly easy to carry. There will be two of us but over
rocky terrain maybe a little more difficult than I wish.

Any opinions or those who have tried this?

I did that route with a sea kayak about two years ago during the first week
of December. There was snow on the ground so it was a little slippery.
Great little trip. Not many people there that time of year.

Some of the portages are rocky so watch your footing but because of the
high traffic, are quite wide.
