I like Ford trucks. This one should last me for a while longer. I've

I have a "97" Toyota T-100 silver/grey, it has 90k miles on it.
Paint still looks great except for a few belt buckle scratches in
the clear coat.
My daughter knocked down a telephone pole with it. Luckily she hit
where the frame runs front to rear. I had to change the bumper and the
headlight ass'y, the grill piece was still good. Parts were less than
$500, the telephone pole about $4,000. The power company wanted $8,500,
for their work, I negotiated it down to $5,500 at $100 a month.
After a couple years, I offered a lump sum pay off and they took it.
Oh, the Toyota, I have had it 16 years, only problems I have had are a
couple of batteries and I had to replace the contacts in the starter
solenoid twice. I should probably order some, as I recall the cost is
about 1/5 over the internet than from my local Toyota dealer.

I can remember many years back that just about all the manufacturers had
problems with silver or light grey paint. It had something to do
with the unique pigments used and the paint wouldn't stick to the
primer. In short order it would start to peel.
Obviously that problem has been solved.
