You can't deny that Britain had banned slavery on their homeland by
1776 (starting with a number of court cases years earlier) and the US
was one of the colonies that clung to it for close to a century.
Slaves built the Capitol and the White House. Aren't they "symbols"
too? Take them DOWN.
The "whoooooosh" was in reference to your vacuous point. Those southern
states flying that flag of traitors over its public buildings and spaces
aren't "remembering" their heritage, they're pushing their love of
slavery, discrimination, and racial hate in the forefront of their aging
white voters.
Now I know what you mean by Whooooosh. It means that you are upset that
someone doesn't buy into your cockeyed view of "how things ought to be".
