Problem these days with new motorcycles is the power. Talking to my
daughters neighbor last weekend. He said his buddy, a chief Master Sargent
told him they are losing more soldiers from motorcycle deaths than from
combat. They figure they are immortal after returning from the Middle East
and buy a new bike. And off the showroom floor these days you buy 170+ mph
bikes for a couple hundred down.

That's been true for quite a while. When I was in Germany, in the late '80's, the
young soldiers could buy a Kawasaki crotch rocket for very little down. They'd go
well over 150mph then.
