Fast powerful fish and very good eating. There are guys who fish the
far eastern Bahamas just for Wahoo.
Supposedly fastest fish in the ocean. Up to 70 mph. Years ago I fished on
the Qualifier 105 out of San Diego. 32' wide, 105' long. A wahoo
following a jig came out of the water and cleared the boat. Deck hand
brailing bait had just leaned down to get more bait and fish just cleared
his back. Not a trip I was on, but friends were.


I always heard sailfish and marlin were the fastest but never in the 70
MPH range!
