It was the maiden voyage.
I don't know what the problem was but I saw a couple of reasonable
explanations.
The one I like is, if you look before the boat is launched, note the
low entrance into the stern of the boat, as it enters the water the
angle is high and water enters the boat. Before they get the boat in far
enough to change the angle a lot of water has entered, if you look close
you can see gurgling on the left side stern. (water in air out)
The second, not enough ballast. (not my belief)
