If I recall correctly Peggie Hall never pushed the typical strongly
scented odor cover-up treatments for holding tanks. She recommended
"K.O" which had no odor but worked by dealing with the bacteria that
caused the foul odors.

She also endorses this, which works in a similar manner:

She never got past **** soup holding tanks. That's why she spent much
of her time giving advice on odors.
It's all unnecessary when you go with composting. She knew next to
nothing about composting heads.
But she gave plenty of valuable advice on holding tank systems, which
the great majority of boats having a head installation are equipped
with.

One of the boats we had ... I think it was the 27' Phoenix ... had some
kind of electrically powered treatment system for the head. I can't
remember exactly how it worked but I know it drew enormous amps from the
batteries when it was turned on. Never had to use any odor cover-ups.
