In this country, Blacks are incarcerated at almost six times the rate of Whites. That
could be because our justice system is extremely racist, or because Blacks commit
crimes at a greater rate, or some combination of both.

White Americans make up about 72% of the population, and African Americans make up
about 12% of the population. In other words the population of White Americans is
about six times that of African Americans.

In Ferguson, the population is 67% Black leaving 33% mix of White and other. Given
the statistics across the country, is it reasonable to expect that crimes will be
committed in the ratio of 67 by Black to 33 by other?

I think not. Of course, pointing out the obvious makes me an ingrained racist.
