Looks like (if I get his payment) I have a local (in-state)
buyer for my
Ruger GP100 at $529. We'll see. I had several bids at the $500
level.
One of you *bozos* could have purchased this fine revolver for
$50 to
$75 less. Your bad.
Gone...
Hey I offered you $151.50 ;-)
Take a look at the buy now price for a BRAND NEW ONE. Harry got a
very
good price for the one he mutilated.
Yup there are several dealers on the net selling them for $529 NIB
and
used ones are in the $335-360 range.
Unless you find one at an in-state dealer's for $529, you are
typically
looking at an additional $75 to $100 for FFL services
Wow. That's gone up a lot since last time, no?

Guns don't cause problems. The behavior
of certain gun owners causes problems.
Just bought an item. My FFL charged me $25. We *are* on good terms,
however.
Mine charges me $25 also. But if there is more than one gun
transferred, the second
is $10, as is each succeeding gun.
When I posted "typically," I didn't mean "all," and I thought that
might
be understood, but I keep forgetting I'm posting on rec.boats.
The FFL I've been using for years charges me the same price he charged
me about decade ago...$40 for a handgun, plus $10 for the State of
Maryland. Rifle transfers are $20.
I "transferred" my Ruger revolver to its new owner yesterday. The only
fee involved was the $10 the State of Maryland collects for its
"regulated firearm" (handguns, typically) processing. The transfer was
legal, but there was no FFL involved.
Buyer got a good price...plus I tossed in some factory ammo, an extra
grip, a speedloader and a few Ruger specific accessories. Really nice
fellow. We're on opposite sides of the political fence, so we agreed to
not discuss politics.
You mean you sold it to an irresponsible, bat crazy, right-wing gun nut?
:-)
Naw. Sold it to a LEO of some sort who works for either the NSA or
CIA. Really nice guy, and nothing like the bat**** crazy right-wingers
here on rec.boats.
Obvious bull****.
