This is just a way to sidestep the ATF short barrel rifle law. You
notice they call those stumpy stocks a "brace" too. Some of these
things accept AR style accessories so you could put a telescoping M4
shoulder stock on most of them but you are then making a "hold your
nose legal" gun illegal.
I think they make these things, just because they can and I am not
really sure what they are good for.

One of the guys I occasionally see out in Virginia has one of those AR
type pistols. I shot a few rounds out of it once. I agree...I have no
idea what they are good for, aside from bragging rights.

Don't you guys get it.. he's just thinking about "getting one" which of
course means he will read up on it and write us all fantastic stories of
himself shooting it at exploding bottles..
