Sex - it is more fun than flying model airplanes or rebuilding

but not more fun than sex in your NEW pool bar (this was a totally
different bar at the other end of the pool from the other bar, not a
"rebuilt" one) I have 2 now.

Was that from wild hogs having sex on your lawn?

Nope just a 68 year old geezer with a shovel and a wheel barrow.
That was really just the rough in. I came back later with a square
shovel and cleaned them up before I put in the steel and formed it up
for a stem wall.
It was about 2 yards of dirt by the time I was done.

Then the walls went up on the stem wall.

You could never get away with that up here.

I frequently stared in wonderment at the standards for commercial
construction in Florida. After Hurricane Andrew, I went down there with
a small team of engineers to help research and write a report. Everyone
expected to see jerry-built stick houses and apartments blown over, but
we were amazed at the number of large tip-up concrete structures that
were blown flat. Codes and inspections supposedly were tightened after
that, but I wonder. A decade later, I was out north of Clearwater out on
two public school sites and a generating plant under construction and
was again amazed by the engineers I was with who were pointing out
really serious code violations. The explanation was that "the fix" was
in. Probably still is, eh?

Still is in Maryland, eh?

Weren't you some sort of quasi military engineer who specialized in blowing
up bridges, villages, women and children? You should offer up your expert
opinion on why that chunk of concrete broke loose. Did a model airplane hit
it? A golf ball? A round from one of your many firearms? Was it whacked by
the roof of an RV?
