I believe you hit the nail on the head.
'Bodies stacked like cordwood' was a fairly common sight when an NVA battalion attacked a US
infantry held firebase. Whoever was manning the M-60 probably killed more in an hour than Kyle
killed in his entire career.
What is a submariner if not a sniper?
I appreciate the fact that many ex-soldiers feel the need to justify
their actions, especially in a war that shouldn't have happened.
