Harry, if you *really* want to "improve the atmosphere" here in
rec.boats, stop with the inflamatory political and religious trolls.
Don't blame me for the fact that you don't seem to be able to stop
insulting other posters here. You are in charge of you.
===
You're about the only one here who ever needs insulting. Stop the
inflamatory posting and your other BS and the insults will stop. If
you're not aware of what the "other BS" is, I'll try to help you out
when I see it. Don't consider it to be an insult however, just a
little bit of friendly self help advice.
"Who ever needs insulting..."
Cute. And very telling.
I've been told my habit of personally insulting other posters
contributed to the sour atmosphere in here. So, I stopped, about a month
ago.
The sour atmosphere continues. The right-wingers in here seem unable to
control themselves and stop personally insulting other posters.
I'm not to blame anymore for the atmosphere in here. I've been "born
again" as a nice guy.
I'll post on whatever subjects interest me, thank you very much.
And what interests you are inflammatory anti-religious or political
posts. One must wonder why your
interest lies only in the anti-Christian or caustic anti-conservative
arena. There are many more
religious sects for your interest, and there are many, many positive
things being done by those
sects. If religion was truly an 'interest', you seem to have blinders
on. Ditto with politics.
Your 'interest' lies in keeping the caustic fires burning, regardless
of what your 'enablers' say.
Actually, John, I made a very strong anti-Muslim terrorist post here
last week, probably far stronger than anything you've thought of or
posted here.
I'm not sure why religion and discussions about it are such a cause
celeb, so to speak, around here. I haven't seen many posts here in which
the posters indicated they were following the teachings of their various
god(s).
Most posters have enough sense not to discuss religion, unless they want
conflict. I'm sure you're
aware of that.
Most posters here aren't religious.
But they respect others beliefs.
Well, there's the explanation for the anti-Muslim and anti-Jewish posts, eh?
I've not seen any posts denigrating beliefs of Muslim or Jews, except for
those beliefs which cause
the beheading or other bodily harm of others.
It's not the beliefs, it's the behavior. By now that should be ringing a bell with you.
It is naive to believe there isn't a direct connection between religious
beliefs and the murderous and otherwise offensive and nasty behavior of
many believers.
So you believe that Muslims, in general, are prone to violence, and the Koran does indeed teach the killing of all non-believers?
I believe that the Muslim religion and the Christian religion have
acolytes who kill people of other religions because they believe their
holy books and holy men tell them to do so.
Christian militants in the Central African Republic have killed
thousands of Muslims in what has been termed ethnic cleansing. On the
other hand, Muslims there have killed Christians. The motivation on both
sides seems to be to kill those who believe differently.
A tribal civil war in a third world country?
"The Muslim rebels, called Seleka, who had helped install him in a coup last March had committed atrocities against the country's Christian majority. The violence fueled the rise of Christian militias known as "anti-balaka," or anti-machete, in the local Sango language."
So the Christians are fighting back against more Muslim aggressive.
Meanwhile, you can point to pretty much no organized Christian violence of any significance, while Muslim-fueled violence against non-combatants is all around the globe, and apparently ramping up.
Your attempt at equivalency and deflection fails.
Meanwhile, the Jews are killing Muslims on a grand scale. Why no mention of them?
"...no organized Christian violence..."
Bosnian War, about 100,000 killed and about 50,000 Muslim women raped by
Christian warriors.
I have no issues with the Israelis killing the so-called Palestinians,
who want to push the Israelis into the Mediterranean. The Jews learned a
hard lesson in WWII.
