Several news stories have stated the five police officers who mounted
the raid reportedly were screaming out who they were and demanding that
Dallas Horton show them his hands.

If that's the case, the police officers identified themselves.

I haven't seen a news story that states whether the fella who was shot
four times was in uniform. I saw a photo showing the deputies on the
shooter's porch. They were in uniform.
