Slapped in the face with an infomercial program pushing Henry Rifles.

I could see Saturday morning...but Sunday....seems like this 'American gun nut culture is spreading like dry rot.

Why was that a slap in the face. Henry makes a good rifle. Bought one a few months ago for the
grandson when he makes Eagle Scout.

Beautiful gun, isn't it?

Don is just trying to score points with Harry the weenie boy.

In my opinion, Don agrees that is a beautiful gun. But, he can't come right out and say so, 'cause
then he'd be saying something nice to someone. For some folks, that is *really* hard to do.

It's an okay looking lever gun. There's nothing special about the wood
or the metal. These .22LR Henrys shoot okay, but they way they load,
from the muzzle end into a tube, reminds me of the old .22 short rifles
you'd find at the penny arcade. The larger caliber Henrys are simply too
heavy to be "historical" saddle carbines, and again, they have that
non-historical loading tube and brass finish.

To each his own, eh?

I see Wayne is again trying to "improve the atmosphere" here in
rec.boats by seeing if he could troll. Sorry, Charlie, as the old tuna
commercial goes. I have no problems with the Henry company buying TV air
time for an info-commercial, and Don has no reason to score points with
me or anyone else.

Too bad rec.boats is the home of so many seventh graders.
