Good. Now find me one for this:

Other that dropping the cylinder out, there is not much to take apart
unless you want to break something ;-)
I suppose you can take the grips and side plate off.
And this:

some interesting stuff

There's a lot of stuff out there on the MN's. I had a hard time with
this one though. I need some
liberal arts guy to help me out.

I'm guessing Vietnamese. Looks like some of the signs over the
'establishments' in Saigon.
My wife an I watched a movie on Netflix the other night, 'Rescue Dawn'
(great movie, BTW), during
which I noticed that the 'enemy' fighters were carrying, in some
instances, Mosin Nagant 91/30s.
Check out this site, John...

Mosin Nagant should win a couple Oscars.
I'm still trying to figure out the "attraction" of those rifles. They're
not pretty. Some of them still shoot well, and I suppose the Russian ammo
is cheap. But they're four feet long, and heavy. Oh, well, there's a cover for every pot.
Heavy big bore rifles are more fun to shoot than lightweight rifles. As
long as you do not have to carry them in battle.
Yeah, cause some guns are actually "fun" to carry into battle! snerk
If I have to go to battle, carrying an extra 5# means a lot. I was in the
military. Did not go to the shooting part of the war, but during training
we marched. A whole bunch of marching. And the M16 style weapon is a
great design for jungle and urban warfare. During WW2 a Thomson sub
machine gun was much better for clearing a room than a long gun, especially
if it was like the Germans who used bolt action rifles.
My AR-15 .223/5.56, a genuine Colt with a heavy barrel, weighs a hair
over seven pounds. I have a .22LR AR that weighs about five pounds and a
Winchester 1892 clone, a real clone, that weighs under six pounds. I
wouldn't want to lug around a rifle that weighs more than the ones I
have. A few of my friends have AR-15s that weigh less than mine, maybe a
pound less, and they are happy with that weight. Lighter rifles are
easier to shoot offhand while standing up.
If you need a rifle for military use that packs a heavier punch, you can
always call up the shooter with the AR-10.
After I finish up the rebuild of my Ruger Mark III pistol, I think I
might start building an AR-15 in .300 blackout with a side charging
handle. I helped a friend build a "standard" .300 blackout a few months
ago, and that rifle is performing well.
