...George Zimmerman...
is in the news again.
George Zimmerman, the Florida man acquitted in 2013 of the shooting
death of unarmed black teen Trayvon Martin, was arrested in Florida late
Friday night on charges of aggravated assault with a weapon.
According to Seminole County booking documents, Zimmerman, 31, was
arrested by the Lake Mary police and was booked at the John E. Polk
Correctional Facility at 10:10 p.m.
Zimmerman is being held on $5,000 bond and has been ordered to surrender
all firearms even though this incident didn't involve one, the judge said.
Since his high-profile acquittal, Zimmerman has had three other
encounters with the Lake Mary police.
In September 2013, Zimmerman's estranged wife, Shellie Zimmerman, called
911 to tell police he had punched her father and was threatening her
with a gun. She opted not to press charges.
In the second incident, which occurred in November 2013, Zimmerman was
arrested and accused of domestic violence by girlfriend Samantha
Scheibe, who later said investigators had misinterpreted her statements
and dropped charges.
In September 2014, Zimmerman was involved in an incident of road rage.

Are you condemning Zimmerman or USA? It's hard to know with you. Does
the term unarmed black teen bother you?
I wonder if Zimmerman knows he's being stalked by no less than Harry the Clam.
Here's a bit more. Apparently he assaulted his girlfriend again:
SANFORD -- George Zimmerman is once again a free man after posting
$5,000 bond Saturday.
Zimmerman, 31, was booked around 9:45 p.m. Friday for aggravated assault
with a weapon, a third-degree felony. Days earlier, deputies said he
allegedly threw a wine bottle at his girlfriend at his parents' Lake
Mary home.
During a court appearance, Zimmerman was joined by his attorney Don
West, who was part of the legal team that represented Zimmerman during
his murder trial for shooting Trayvon Martin in 2013.
West confirmed his client was with his girlfriend when he threw the
bottle towards her. No one was injured in the incident, West said.
A Seminole County judge told Zimmerman he was prohibited from contacting
his girlfriend or entering Volusia County where she lives. He must
surrender all firearms by Tuesday, but will not have to wear a GPS
monitoring device.
