Oh? Who do you have in mind?

Who is the most anti-religious in the group?

I have no idea. I'm not sure what "pro religious" means in this
group.

My question had nothing to do with 'pro religious'. But I think you
know the answer to my question.

I'm not sure what your 'pro religious' phrase means in this group
either. I do know what showing respect for the beliefs of others
means, and I know what ridiculing the beliefs of others means.

The expression of personal religious beliefs is not a problem for me. I
am not offended by individuals singing Christmas Carols and
suchlike. My
disdain for religion comes from the attempts of the religious in this
country to force their beliefs on others, especially through
pressure on
the government. Showing respect for the beliefs of others should also
mean that no attempts are made to force others to believe as you do in
the area of religious belief.

How did you come by the notion that the religious in this country are
trying to force their beliefs on you?

I watch news shows and read newspapers.

Wow! That's the basis of all your paranoia?

So you are back to name-calling again, eh? Too bad.

Perhaps he should have said 'consternation' or 'fear'. In any case,
why ridicule folks on rec.boats for their religious beliefs?

You, with your writing skills, could write some great editorials for
news sources becrying the attempts of the religious in this country to
force their beliefs on you.

Personally, I've never felt threatened by the 'attempts' to which you
refer. In fact, other than the substitution of a pig's head for the
Jesus figure in a manger scene, I can't recall a single 'religious
attempt' story this past Christmas.

I'm sure there are folks who thought the substitution was quite cute.
