Hi Jari,

I believe that Tahotsu/Nissan/Mercury are all the same 4 stroke in 4hp, 5hp
and 6hp outboards @ 123cc / 7.5ci and 55# in short shaft.

Yamaha has a 6hp and 8hp 4 stroke that are 83#.

Honda has an 8hp and 9.9hp 4 stroke that are 92#.

Honda and Yamaha have special high torque models that are for kicker motors
on larger sail boats like yours. I think there big deal is they have almost
as much thrust in reverse as in forward which is not so with standard
outboards. I think I would go for a 10hp in one of these.
