This past summer I didn't get the boat down to the Mira River as planned because of my PMR.
At this point I'm down to just south of a guarter of the daily steroid dose I started on and am keeping up my treadmill and BowFlex routine 3 times a week.
I am 11 months into this affliction and with any luck will be free of it by July.
So, we're looking for an active boating season next year.
Believe I mentioned that I picked up my boat a few weeks ago and the warranty paint blister repair looks great.

Damn, Don - when you say 'PMR' are you meaning this:

If so, that sucks. I'm sorry to hear about that. Let's hope it doesn't
turn into giant cell arteritis. That's some even worse ****. I'll say
a prayer for you. (Honestly.)

Glad the blister repair looks good. I guess a year of use will show
how well it lasts.

That's it..specialist said I had the classic symptoms.....and in spades.
End of last April I couldn't dress myself. drive or even get up out of a chair ...especially the week or two before I started the steroid treatment.
D'oh..I spent around 2 grand on a lift chair, and various aids to get me through the day...such as a commode chair, extender for picking objects up from floor, device to help putting on socks...etc etc.
Wish I had started on the steroids a week or two earlier.
Anyway, I feel great today...a bit wishy washy in the knees and can't make a tight fist.. but overall pretty minor now. I may take an Aleve pill on a rainy morning if I plan to exercise.
