Scott that's getting to be a problem in several urban areas due to deer over population. Even I'd double the amount were harvested they'll never become extinct.
Funny that people in suburbia like feeding them, then gripe when they splatter their car with one on the way to work.
A few years ago there was a large traffic jam in the Chicago area because a herd of deer tried to cross the Dan Ryan expressway in rush hour traffic. A lot of dead deer and a lot of wrecks.
The folks here are getting sick of the deer eating all their flowers
and vegetable gardens. Tall fences don't mean **** to these guys.
With the two dogs, the deer don't spend much time in my yard, but
they're getting more brave by the day!
Around here, the folks figured they've had several seasons of enjoyment
of their gardens, and don't begrudge the woodland critters some food so
they can make it through the winter. The deer seem to love my wife's
hostas, and she's glad they eat them and the remnants of the roses and
other flora.
I'm sure we're all glad for your wife. Do the deer get to munch on
your hostas all winter?
We do have some sort of hunter on one of the farms behind us. He's
always shooting at something back there.
Sounds like someone has some sense. Thinning the deer population is
good for the deer population.
