Over 700 lbs. Tim. Big feesh!

Are they natural or an invasive? And more importantly, how do they
taste?
They are protected but they probably taste like grouper.

I have had Grouper I think in Florida.. is it usually an eatin' fish?

Grouper are good eating fish but the reds can be a bit wormy if that
bothers you. Most people never notice particularly when they are
cooked (little black specks people do not notice)
The blacks are better. The "Goliath" (AKA Jewfish) is still a grouper
but a huge one. Personally I think the small ones taste the better.

I don't see a lot of it up here in the stores...

If you do, there is a good chance it's fake. There have been a lot of
scams over the past several years.
