[Q] Waterproof Binoculars

Anyone own waterproof binoculars they really like?
This is a topic that comes up now and again and elicits a broad
range of responses. The main debate centres on how much money
should be spent. Personally, I find that an inexpensive pair
of waterproof binocs is fine _for what I want_, while others
insist that only the very expensive binocs are suitable (since
they have outstanding optics).
If you want them for their optics, you've got several high-end
brands to choose from. If you prefer something you aren't going
to cry over if you loose them, there are also several brands.
I have an old pair of Bushnell binocs - 8x24 - that are fine.
There are newer models that are comparable. Advantages a
cheap, compact.
I am seeking a pair at least a 10x zoom.
But not for on-water use, I assume? You won't be able to steady
anything much higher than 8x unless you get image stabilized
(which are not waterproof that I've ever seen).
