Anyone have any suggestions on the removal of cosmoline from my newly

You can cut it with paint or lacquer thinner but most of the removal
is mechanical.
If you use a solvent, you need to get a protecting coat of oil back on
it right away.
We had to bring a couple of 1911s back from this mummification on the
ship. We detail stripped them, wiped off all we could and dunked the
metal parts in a bucket of thinner over night. They came out like
new.
One of the GM3s stripped the grease off a set of the walnut stocks and
refinished them with linseed oil. They came out pretty nice.
A four foot chunk of pvc capped at one end and filled with mineral
spirits might do the job.
Now I just can't wait to get to Wal Mart to buy a gallon of mineral
spirits.
Drink up!

Just because you are opposed to abortion doesn’t make you pro-life. Your
morality is deeply lacking if all you want is a child born but not a
child fed, not a child educated, not a child housed, not a child
clothed, not a child able to see the doctor. That’s not pro-life…that’s
pro-birth.
