Those pesky reoccurring monthly bills

You can see very near $30k just for the basics to keep the household
going. I haven't added food and ...
I'm in an area where I see a lot of people with the only reoccurring
bill they have is their cellphone. They don't have a home, car or
insurance to pay. But they have that cellphone, often a smartphone.
Your thoughts. Any additions to the list?

Wouldn't those be what you pay annually, and not monthly? I realize
precision with language is not valued much in rec.boats but, still...
