I don't have "employers."
Of course you do, they just call you a contractor so they don't have
to pay you all those pesky benefits you are always waxing on about.
I guess you don't care about a pension since you planning on working
until you die and you get your medical benefits from your wife.
Wow. You've been eating at the Trough of the Stupid...again.
I'm a contractor because I don't want to be on anyone's payroll, other
than my own. If you are the sort of employee you apparently were, you
have to show up at a particular time every day, get the bennies if any
the employer offers and deal with the bull**** of the employer and his
managers. I get my bull**** direct from "the boss" and try to help his
employees do a better job.
My pension needs were taken care of by me a long time ago.
I get my healthcare benefits through my union, not through my wife,
although I am considering switching over to Medicare and an optional
program, since my monthly outlay probably will be less.
Fortunately, my skillset was not made obsolete by IBM, nor did I have to
take orders from my quasi-military employer.
Sounds like me in a way. I wanted a good job so I started a company and
hired myself.
