Harry, my ranch rifle is chambered in .223 and not the mini-30. I've had ak47's and 74's for the 7.62x39. Now I've got SKS's with standard 10 magazines. I got rid of the ak's because the pistol grip and commie clips were cumbersome and always getting caught or hitting on something. At one time you could get crates of military dirty ammo for them by the crate load lower than dirt cheap. Basically 0.5c a shot. I have about 5000 rd's of that too.
