Suggestions for a step up from an RPM?
(Ben) writes:
If someone who is presently paddling a Dagger RPM were looking for something that...
1) Surfed, squirted, etc. better, but was still reasonably stable and easy to roll
2) Had a decent amount of foot room
3) Was still a reasonable river-runner, and
4) Has been around for a few years, so used ones would be available
...what would people recommend?
Go for an Pyranha InaZone, they should be pretty cheap now (make sure you
get a proper whitewater spec one though) Nice and stable, easyish to roll,
very good river runner, and it has a planing hull, so is great fun in surf
and stoppers etc.
It'll be slightly harder to stern squirt than the RPM, practically
everything is harder to stern squirt than an RPM.
If you are looking for something slightly more recent the Necky Switch is
a great little boat, and is still a good river runner.
