Thanks John. Turns out that Firefox doesn't like flash or active X

You're right. I could not get Firefox and Win 7 to like flash. I quit
using Firefox and went back to IE. Firefox worked fine with XP though.
Chrome and Win 7 didn't want to cooperate either, so I dumped Chrome.
