Gee, Greg, I simply don't know. If I were you, I'd be more concerned
about the fact that your current governor is a crook whose company had
to pay the largest fine for fraud in the history of the United States
and who pled the Fifth Amendment what, 75 times?

He is working for us now. I am not unhappy with the way he runs the
government although I would vote for someone better if they were
running. It certainly isn't Crist. His malfeasance was in office, not
in private industry

In terms of understanding Maryland gun laws, I'm not as anal as you are,
I suppose. When I got interested in getting an AR, I checked with my
favorite LGS, and was told I could legally buy a certain Colt AR. I
called one of the friendly state troopers at the barracks that handles
firearms paperwork, and was told the same thing. That was good enough
for me. When I opened up the rifle box at the LGS, I noticed that Colt
had tucked in a 10-round mag from Magpul instead of the usual 20 or 30
round mag.

Like I said, they found you a gun that was essentially the same as the
AR15, that was specifically banned but neatly fit in a loophole.
It was still not legal with a bayonet lug OR a flash suppressor, both
features that are specifically banned.

Your obtuseness is humorous sometimes.

My AR15 *is* an AR15. The side of the receiver is roll-stamped AR15-A3.
Do you think Colt would incorrectly stamp thousands of receivers?

It is not "essentially" the same as the AR15s that were banned, it is
*exactly* the same, except for one feature.

The one different featu Mine is an HBAR.

Despite what you keep posting, it *is* legal for sale in Maryland with
the bayonet lug and flash suppressor. Mine came equipped with both.

It wasn't "fit" into a loophole. AR15 HBARs are specifically exempted in
MD law. Exemption by law is not a loophole. The HBARs were exempted for
"sporting purposes."
