I would suggest shooting at biodegradable targets. Do they really need
to explode?
Maybe you should just buy a set of steel targets and shoot like the
adults.
As usual, you are making a mountain out of less than a molehill. There's
usually not a bit of visible solid matter refuse after you shoot a hole
in a plastic soda bottle. The liquid inside the bottle erupts out of the
hole, typically, but the bottles are soft, not brittle, and all the
bullet has done is punch/burn a hole in it, same as if you took a sharp,
small knife or nail or soldering iron tip and punctured the plastic.
