One of my Jacksonville buddies retired as a machinist's mate, serving
aboard a nuclear carrier. After that, he was hired as a consultant by a
firm retained to work on reactors. Smart as he was, though, no one could
convince him to stop smoking cigarettes and they did him in. He was
*somewhat* less secretive than your mustered out old fart buddy.



Why do secretive people annoy you so much? He does it to irritate you
more than anything else. Others who know him personally get a chuckle
out of your reactions and false assumptions about him.
