He wasn't appreciated because he leapfrogged people in a system that, like
the Unions you dittoheads love to hate, often uses seniority in
promotions.

He was promoted by the Generals who recognized his brilliance. There's no
substance to the WWIII comments. It's pure bluster since what he
suggested
was never carried out. No one can predict the outcomes of things that
don't
happen, unless of course, it's Republicans talking about how Al Gore
would've blown up the world by now.

Further, Clark recommended ground troops instead of bombing Kosovo from
15,000 ft. because he knew there'd be civiilian casualties. They didn't
take his advice and many civilians lost their lives.



Generals become generals because they are good at politics! Especially in
peacetime. Sure there were civilian casualties. Always are in wars and
police actions. Questions: Why did you support going in to Kosovo? Why is
that a good war, and Iraq a bad war? Political party of the President who
issued the orders?
