Hi,

but do consider building it yourself...in spite of inexperience! :-)

Thanks Melissa. I'll consider it, but I have an impatient 3-year old
who may not endure my inexperience.

Sound like you've got shop help as well. The 3-year old probably won't
be a lot of help but it would be a great father-son/daughter project.

Good point, John. I'm reminded of his excitement when we found a
disgarded bicycle by a dumpster we refurbished. You'd think he'd
awaken to find a brand new bicycle under the christmas tree.

Concerned about using chemicals around him though.

As you should be. I'm sure that you could find eye protection and a
respirator to fit though. Be sure to take pictures of the 3 year old in the
safety gear if you proceed with this project with your helper.

I have built a couple of boats and have thought that the next boat I build
will be a skin on frame boat for my son. I've got plenty of time as he's
only 5 months old.
