Three of the roads that carry feeder lines in our area are lined with
all manner of trees, including some that look as if they would fall over
if you ran a bicycle into them. The streets are pretty, but you just
know by looking at them that when the wind blows, those boughs are going
to break, and take out the 'lectricity.


FPL has a no nonsense policy on trees. If they are in or over the
right of way, they are gone.
Every spring crews in bucket trucks, and a box truck towing an
Asplundah machine drive around whacking trees.


Oh, we have some of that, too. Just not enough. The utils have a
right-of-way, but they don't seem to do much to keep their wires and
trees out of each other's clutches.
