After looking at the design again for a while trying figure out how to
set the skegs so they would work, not cut in turning, and not look ugly,
not get sucked into muddy beaches etc... I decided to eliminate the flat
trailing ends of the lifting strakes and make them act more like skegs

The plans look good to me but of course I don't have to build it.
There's one comment that's not clear to me: "Whaler Clone Version 3
is a 7 plank hull." Perhaps in error, I had assumed it was going to
be stitch and glue construction with plywood panels. To me a plank
hull is something other than that but possibly my understanding is
incorrect.
