The dealer had a P938 also that I looked at. Nice gun. A little bigger
than the P228 but not by much. I went for the P228 due to it's size (I
wanted a pocket pistol) and since I also use .380 ammo for the Walther.
I didn't feel like having to stock up on 9mm as well.
I am not really interested in "stopping power" specs and discussions. I
figure that in an emergency anything is better than nothing. It's more
important to be able to shoot accurately.
I thought the Walther was your "carry" pistol.
The Walther is really too big and heavy to be a comfortable carry pistol
although some people do. I like it a lot ... it's my favorite gun to
shoot at the range. Accurate and just "feels" right.
I don't "carry" much anymore anyway. Really no reason to. I still
wanted a small, pocket sized pistol to replace the S&W Bodyguard that I
had and didn't like at all. The Sigs have a very good reputation, the
P228 is tried and true and is the size I was looking for.
SIG makes first-class weapons. I liked the X-5 I had. It was a work of
art and it worked smoothly and reliably. It just wasn't as accurate as
the CZ I got to replace it, and it didn't cycle as quickly, either.
