Interesting statistics. Faulty as it sometimes was, the shuttle was
still an exciting and valuable step forward into space exploration,
especially considering that most of it's technology dates back to the
60s and 70s. I would have signed up for a ride in a heartbeat if
given the opportunity. The International Space Station as it now
exists would not have been possible without it.
